Wilms¡¯ tumor is a very rare disease in adults; whereas it is the most common renal tumor in children. The treatment guidelines in adults have not yet been established. A 55-year-old woman presented with an incidentally detected renal mass. Radiologic examinations demonstrated multiple renal cysts on the surface of the right kidney, along with a 10 cm cystic mass arising from the lower pole of the right kidney, extending towards the large bowel. Because of the possibility of bowel invasion, the surgical treatment included en bloc partial colectomy in addition to radical nephrectomy. The histopathologic diagnosis was Wilms¡¯ tumor, Stage II disease with favorable histology, according to the National Wilms¡¯ Tumor Study classification. Finally, there was a severe adhesion to the ascending colon, but no tumor invasion. The patient received 6 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy.
